INCOME PROTECTION: 75%OF BASIC SALARY (LESS THE STATE BENEFIT)

Employees unable to continue occupation at Warburg Pincus due to illness or injury for more than 13 weeks will receive a continuing income of 75% of your basic salary (minus the State Employment and Support Allowance). Acceptance of the claim and a continuation of your income will be dependent upon fulfilling the insurance company’s claim requirements.

In addition to the income benefit, Company pension contributions of 10% of your basic salary will continue to be paid. The income benefit will increase by 5% a year whilst you remain incapacitated, and continues until you return to work, retire, or reach age 65.  Should you return to work part-time or in a lower paid position, the income benefit continues to be paid at a reduced level. Dependent upon your level of salary, you may be required to complete a written health declaration to allow for your full entitlement of benefit to be covered.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Your cover will automatically start when you join the company, so you don't need to worry about joining the scheme.

Dependent upon your level of salary, you may be required to complete a written health declaration to allow for your full entitlement of benefit to be assessed.
